What we did

The client was a large Global football brand with complex data in significant volume. The requirement was to implement a large scale migration from the on-premises database system to a new cloud-based Heroku data warehouse. The client also wanted to integrate all external and internal data feeds on an hourly and daily basis, creating a single view of the customer using Informatica Cloud. It was also a requirement to capture multiple attributes on an on-going basis.

A second phase to the project was to implement Salesforce Marketing Cloud and enable cross-platform channels including inbox messaging, push notifications, social advertising, geo-fencing, personalized email journeys and automate customer experiences without increasing resource.

What were the benefits

By migrating to the new data warehouse solution, consolidating and enriching the data, the client was able to get a far clearer view of the customer allowing more targetted campaigns and higher customer engagement. The number of emails sent reduced significantly while the open rates increased. The cross-platform capability allowed the client to grow its reach and improve the size of the database and commercial opportunities.
