What we did

The client was 18 months behind on implementation and considerably over budget with three false go-lives. We placed a project team to take over the project and manage all third parties. Implementing a new project plan, approach and governance structure we took ownership of all deliverables including business requirements, development, testing, and data migration.

The new approach allowed us to automate the data migration reducing the timescales from 3 months to 24 hours migrating over 100,000 contracts and running the systems in parallel for one week to ensure that all direct debits from customer bank accounts where reconciled within a very small tolerance.

The Benefits

We bought the project back on track and delivered with very little interference to the business. The new approach also allowed us to release key internal resources from the project back to business minimizing disruption to business as usual. We fully tested the system putting a stringent testing methodology in place to triage defects and trained the internal staff to allow a successful adoption. We also negotiated a commercial rebate back from the 3rd party and improved the working relationship to allow a successful working relationship going forward.
